Welcome to my website!
I consider it a privilege and an honor to represent the people of the 84th IL House District. I was humbled to receive the trust and support of many of you in my initial election in 2012 and my re-election in 2014. I appreciate all the faith that you have entrusted in me.
It is a difficult job to represent the interest of over 100,000 people in the 84th District; however, I remain a true public servant and will continue to do my best every day to assist the individuals in our community.
As a public servant, I continue to pledge not to accept even a "cup of coffee" from a Springfield Lobbyist, I have refused a state funded pension, and did not accept fancy legislator license plates for my car.
The State of Illinois is in a position that it has never been in before. Past Governors, both Republican and Democrat, have worked with the General Assembly to ensure a full year budget is in place that protects the most weak and vulnerable in our State. It appears that under this Governor, his veto of all the budget proposals except the recent emergency stop gap spending plan, which was signed into law, has resulted in the Judges having to step in and order the state to pay for services that individuals rely on to live and have a decent quality of life at a higher rate than we could afford.
I have consistently voted to support services to take care of those who need help. I believe in services that maintain a quality of life for the most vulnerable in our society and I am appalled at these individuals being held hostage to political grandstanding and political ideals. I understand that people in our area cannot travel to Springfield every week to engage in issues that have a direct impact on them, their families and our community. Therefore, I am committed to be the eyes, ears and voice that everyone can rely on to represent them. I will continue to fight for children with autism and epilepsy, domestic violence victims, our veterans, individuals with disabilities, the frail elderly and the middle class families trying to make ends meet.
I hope that you will take a few minutes to review the pages of my website to learn more about me, how I feel about certain issues and some of the very difficult challenges we face as a state.
I am committed to working towards a responsible budget and other great things that can be accomplished for the State of Illinois in a collaborative manner.

Thank you again! Hope to see you soon at an event or in the neighborhood.
