State Representative Stephanie Kifowit is in her third two-year term of office representing the 84th District, which includes Aurora, Oswego, Montgomery, and Naperville.
Stephanie Kifowit proudly served her country in the United States Marine Corps, the city of Aurora as Alderman for over 9 years, and now as state Representative of the 84th District. As a former financial adviser, Kifowit helped families make the best long-term decisions for their futures and she brings that experience to the State of Illinois.
During her tenure as State Representative, Kifowit introduced and supported legislation that would assist veterans, and help restore integrity to state government. During her tenure as state representative, she has fought for veterans, seniors and the most vulnerable in our community. She has passed laws to protect individuals from on-line ticket scams, raise awareness and the purchase age for harmful powdered caffeine, passed "Ann Marie's" law which allows schools to help prevent child suicide, protected seniors and individuals with disabilities for voting to maintain the DONs score, strengthened the DCFS Advisory Council to protect children, worked to provide an "Autism Awareness card". She has also passed legislation to lower veteran suicide, reduce property taxes and provide services for the elderly, disabled and children. Stephanie Kifowit is dedicated to ensuring that every year the state of Illinois has a balanced and responsible budget.
She is a proud alumna of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Masters in Public Administration.
Stephanie Kifowit believes that it is important to not only serve the community, but help make a difference. While walking in her district, she has participated in several community sponsored events. She helps support Mothers Against Drunk Driving to prevent tragedies that affect our youth. She is a member of many Veterans organizations. She also supports Mutual Ground and their mission to end Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault along with supporting Hope For Tomorrow's Veterans Home and many other non-profits in the 84th District.

When Stephanie Kifowit is not busy being a State Representative, she is enjoying time with her family; her husband Steve, their children Sabrina and Samuel, Alexandria and son-in-law Billy along with two grandchildren William and Jon.
